In our Communities

Along with going door to door to meet the wonderful people in our communities.  I also attended the session on Cannabis hosted by the UCDSB and the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario and presented by the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit. I wanted to learn more about how the legalization of Cannabis can impact our schools and how parents and guardians can support their children.  The presentation was informative and I came away with information to share. Thursday night, I attended the Take Back the Night March organized by Lanark County Interval House and walked alongside community members to raise awareness about violence against Women and Girls. I also became a Great Aunt for the first time.  Welcome to the Dufort family, little Mya. This weekend I made it a priority to get outside and to enjoy some of the cooler weather.  It was a time to reflect on the families in our region who were dramatically impacted by the storm on Friday. My thoughts are with you.
