Thank You

Good Evening,

I want to express my heartfelt thanks to the people who voted for me and supported me during this Trustee election. It has been my privilege to meet so many kind and interesting people throughout the campaign.  In my travels, I met with individuals who are excited about public education and who care deeply about our students.   Our kids deserve this passion, they deserve that we ask questions, seek understanding, and that we make decisions that are good for them and for their future.  They are our future.

Throughout the campaign, I also had the great pleasure to reacquaint with former parents, students, colleagues, and community members.  I want to thank them for their unwavering trust and support.

I was also very touched by the many kind words, testimonials, encouragement, and support of so many people across Beckwith, Carleton Place and Mississippi Mills.

I want to say THANK YOU to all the people who donated so generously, who took signs, distributed pamphlets, knocked on doors and who gave so much of their time. To all of you that supported me in so many ways, THANK YOU!

Thank you to my fantastic group of leaders, volunteers, friends, families, parents and students who helped me in so many ways during this campaign, I have no words big enough to express my love, my friendship and my gratitude.

I want to congratulate all the candidates that I had the pleasure to meet during this journey; especially Sharon Holzscherer and Donald Cram.  It was a professional, respectful and focussed on the issues campaign.  Perhaps, one of the things that we have accomplished together; is to give a better understanding of the importance of the role of Trustee in education.

Congratulations to Donald Cram! I know that he will work very hard on your behalf in Beckwith, Carleton Place and Mississippi Mills

I have so much to be grateful for, and as I wrote once, in one of my blogs:

“We must teach our kids that each of them is unique and needs to be celebrated.” It’s starts with each of us modelling the behaviours and advocating for the best public education opportunities for all of our students.

Thank you to all of you who have supported me during this campaign.

All the best,

Carole Dufort
